Used to prevent calves in the dairy industry from nursing their mother’s milk so there will be more of it to sell to humans who have no need of it and for whom it is unhealthy. And the calves, of course, are enslaved like their mothers or slaughtered for veal. What a strange, tragic world we’ve created. What a kind, generous and peaceful alternative to it being vegan provides!
