10 albums that influenced me the most - 1st place out of 10
Queen - A Night At The Opera
- The most legendary harmony guitars of the world -
Who but Brian May only needs one note to make it clear to every listener who is playing the guitar there? The guitarist, mutated into an animal and environmentalist, has always been one of my top 3 guitar artists, but the sounds he makes on this album went beyond all dimensions that one was used to until 1975. Everyone is talking about Bohemian Rhapsody, but only guitarists have z. B. an ear for the Dixieland Band, which Brian May only creates with the combination of his Red Special guitar - booster - amp on “Good Company”. No effects devices or the like, only volume controls, a few out-of-phase circuits and perfect phrasing let the clarinet, slide trombone and all other instruments come to life. Add to that the great “self-accompaniment” by Freddy Mercury in the delay spectacle on “The Prophet Song”. Unique and a blueprint for the next generations.
